Purchasing Overview

Franklin Precision Industry, Inc. (FPI), in association with Aisan Industry Co., Ltd, works with a diverse group of suppliers to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. To maintain quality, cost, delivery and service response expectations of our customers, the suppliers must meet or exceed our expectations first.

FPI Purchasing will exceed our customer expectations by adopting an environment where customer and supplier relationships thrive means both parties invest, look to accommodate the other, and gain long term value through relationship management.

 
As a customer, FPI Purchasing wants to increase the efficiencies in the supply chain and improve the overall value of the relationship for both parties by including suppliers in our thoughts for the future, inviting ideas and feedback. Sharing information (future plans, forecasts, process bottlenecks, etc.) to open the door to communication. As information sharing becomes more natural, the positives and the negatives will emerge, but because a dialogue has been established, corrective action can be suggested and embraced, if the end goal is a better working relationship for both parties.

One key element to remember is that this transformation to relationship management is not an overnight activity. It’s a method of conducting business that will be adopted over time, as all sides begin to learn and trust the concept.
